Digital Camera Tips – How do you print out a picture from a digital camera?

September 30th, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

I know I could use my printer. However, it is not suitable for this purpose. Can I take my camera to the photo center of a drug store and have them do it? Or do I need to save the image to a removable storage device and then have the people at the photo center upload it? Finally, is there any way to save a file of a video to a CD so that people can watch your movie? Thank you for your suggestions.

Best Answer: All camera stores/photo centres in the civilized world can make prints from any digital camera, memory card, portable drive, CD, or DVD.

Just bring in whatever you have and they’ll do it.

As for videos, you save them just like still photographs, but make sure your computer has a cd burner (many older ones don’t).

There are also many types of video (.avi, .mpeg, divx, .rm) so make sure the viewer’s computer can decode it.

Hope this helps.

  • Call your preferred photo developer and see how they like to handle digital pics. Also, some places have kiosks now where you insert a “removeable storage device” or CD containing your photos, and then print them yourself.

As for the movie to CD, I’d think you could but I’ve not tried so cannot answer that with any authority.

  • Check with your cell company for a computer adapter and download it to CD-r or storage device. You can’t directly print from most phones.
