Does anyone kno how i can download the pictures on my digital camera. i dont kno what to go and click into but when i try doing it from my printer it says i need the memory card and mine diesnt have one. when i had my pc i could do it in a flash but now i cant. does anyone with expierence have a download from a website or directions on where to go and what to do. i’m absolutly begging for help. pleaseeeeee. my camera is a creative camera. its older but its always worked fine.

Best Answer: Open up iPhoto, macs are plug and play so it should automatically recognize your camera, then go to import and it will download photos from your camera to iphoto. You can view them, then print, save, or whatever you want to

  • I really have no idea what your doing. Your putting your memory card in your printer? I would just connect my camera to the computer directly via a USB cable (B I think). FYI Macs are so much easier to use for film and photo editing. Sorry to burst your bubble. Use the USB cable its your best friend when transfering pictures to a computer rather than using a printer that probably forces you to install new software.
  • It’s remotly possible that your camera is not Mac Compatible. iPhoto is supposed to work with ALL cameras that are mac compatible. If you have a new Mac, why not call Apple support? They will hand hold you through the process. I know there are cameras that DO not have cards(internal memory only) and they work on even Older Macs(as long as they have USB)
Wish i could be of more help. I have 7 Çameras and they all hook up to any of my 4 Macs without issue, so i have to think it’s either your camera is incompatible or you are missing a step…
  • did you have a software dsik with your camra.
It is very unusaul for a MAC not to recognise when youhave plugged in a camera.
try the website for your camera and see if there is a downloadable driver for it!
The best thing is to upload the pictures to your mac and then use PREVIEW to print from there, so you won’t need your camra plugged in then.

    hope this helps
A mac user since 2002 and digital camera user too.

  • You should be able to plug it directly into the computer using a USB port. If you don’t have the cable, you will have to get a cable. I haven’t done it in a while, but I believe once you plug it in, iPhoto comes up and you can decide what to do with the digital files from there. It’s really easy. A lot easier than a PC.
